WASHINGTON — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are among the world leaders planning to attend the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s funeral on Tuesday — and diplomacy will be on tap while they are in town.
President Trump is expected to meet with both leaders, with Netanyahu’s office announcing the prime minister will fly Monday to Washington “at the invitation” of the president.
“As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will meet on Tuesday with President Trump at the White House and will participate in the funeral ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham, a friend of Israel,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.
Trump is also scheduled to meet with Zelensky on Tuesday, a White House official told The Post.
Graham met with Zelensky during a trip to Kyiv the day before his death on July 11, and the South Carolina Republican was working on a new Russia sanctions bill in his final hours.
The 71-year-old dedicated much of his legislative work to foreign affairs, particularly in support of Israel and Ukraine following Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
