Over 30 finalists from across the state earned their spot by winning local titles.

A new Miss South Carolina was crowned over the weekend.

The pageant was held at the Township Auditorium in Columbia on Saturday night.

Over 30 finalists from across the state earned their spot by winning local titles.

Miss Lake Murray, Sarah Wrenn, was crowned. She is a marketing graduate of Clemson University and currently serves as the director of school engagement at the American Heart Association.

Along with the crown, Wrenn was awarded scholarships and prizes and became South Carolina’s representative at the Miss America pageant set for next year.
