Nicki Minaj tears into ‘Gavvy pooh’ Newsom after online battle with Elon Musk over trans daughter

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s latest clapback — this one taking aim at billionaire Elon Musk — was a tweet too far, at least for rapper Nicki Minaj.

The 43-year-old “Beez in the Trap” vocalist tore into Newsom in a series of saucy X posts Friday, suggesting the California governor’s expected presidential bid is already doomed.

“Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse from here for you, buddy,” the rapper wrote on X posts that were accompanied by pictures of Chucky. “It’s the end of the road for you, my love.”

“Get on the nearest jet ski & let that beautiful hair blow in the wind,” she continued. “It will make you happier than this race that you will not win. Enjoy life. Peace.”

Minaj, who’s been sidling up to Republicans as of late, branded Newsom “the cute boy who got everything handed to him b/c of how cute & sexy & hot & smoking he was” in another tweet.

“Sitting there in that suit with the sneakers on. He thinks he’s Tom Cruise only difference is, his next mission IS impossible,” she wrote.

“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids. Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that,” Minaj wrote in an earlier tweet.

Newsom’s office has been contacted for comment.

The fracas emerged when Musk’s America PAC posted a video of Newsom, on the Ezra Klein podcast, saying he “wants to see trans kids” in light of his support for the trans-friendly legislation as governor.
In a quote tweet, Newsom’s office jeered: “We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon,” referring to the billionaire’s estranged daughter, aspiring model Vivian Jenna Wilson, who formerly went by Xavier.

“I assume you’re referring to my son, Xavier, who has a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus you push on vulnerable children,” Musk shot back. “I love Xavier very much and hope he recovers.”

Minaj has emerged as an unlikely conservative activist in recent weeks, notably making a speech alongside Ambassador to the U.N. Mike Waltz at an event focused on the treatment of Christians in Nigeria.

On Friday, she continued that theme by seemingly expressing her preference for Vice President JD Vance over Newsom.
