The Post’s Mark W. Sanchez previews the NL Central:
1. Chicago Cubs
O/U wins: 85.5
Key player: Kyle Tucker. Can this year’s Juan Soto — a star outfielder whom a club cashed in through trade ahead of his walk year — put up Soto numbers? Probably not, but there is every reason to believe Tucker can carry the Cubs from OK to October. The 28-year-old is among the best talents in the game, owns a .921 OPS over the past two seasons and knows hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake.
Player who’ll need to step up: Pete Crow-Armstrong. There is no doubting the center field defense of the former Mets prospect, who will win Gold Gloves. He will run, too, stealing 27 bases in 123 games last season. But will he hit? If he does in his first complete season as a major leaguer, he would be a star and the Cubs likely will be destined for postseason baseball.
