The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has renewed a recall of shredded cheese sold in South Carolina and multiple other states
The report, which was originally issued Oct. 3, recalled seven types of shredded cheese sold by parent company Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. under a number of brand names at various grocery store chains, including Target, Aldi and more.
The recall is Class II, defined by the FDA as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
