FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — If someone told you last summer that the Patriots would advance to the AFC Championship game, you probably would have figured they beat one of the AFC’s elite quarterbacks on their way there.

Maybe it was a win over Josh Allen? Nope. Lamar Jackson? Guess again.

Patrick Mahomes? Not this year.

OK, Joe Burrow? This year the Patriots were not on to Cincinnati.
