Pedro Pascal expressed feeling “incredibly violated” after paparazzi captured his coffee order, which subsequently went viral. During a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, The Last of Us star addressed the incident, responding to his private ritual becoming public fodder.

Pedro Pascal calls his coffee order going viral as ‘violating’

The Primetime Emmy-nominated actor Pedro Pascal has an “insane” coffee order that went viral two years ago. The 49-year-old Hollywood heartthrob is finally addressing the reason behind the six espresso shots in his Starbucks order.

In his recent Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, Kimmel shows a zoomed-in shot of Pascal’s Starbucks order, which says, “a venti iced quad espresso with extra ice and six espresso shots.” Before addressing the intriguing coffee order, Pascal mentions, he felt “violated” at his coffee preference becoming public knowledge.

The actor explains, “There’s so much context to why it became six shots of espresso.” He added that he felt the cups were becoming larger and the coffee wasn’t “strong enough.” So, his order contained the extra shots, which would be his only coffee intake for the day.

“At some point, it became six, and it was an incredibly private morning ritual that I never wanted anyone to know about,” he gushed, adding, “I don’t have more coffee for the rest of the day, I swear.” Kimmel quipped, “This is not even coffee; this is a meth-acchino.” To which Pascal jokingly replied, “You sip it! You sip it, you get… really high, and you answer emails and stuff.”

Meanwhile, Pascal will return to TV as Joel in the second season of The Last of Us. The new installment of the popular show will premiere on Sunday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and the Max streaming service. The Last of Us Season 2 will consist of only seven episodes, which will be released weekly, compared to the first season’s nine episodes.

Pascal has gained numerous accolades for his phenomenal performance in Season 1. The Chilean-American actor won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards. He also earned nominations at the Critics’ Choice Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
