Despite Penn State falling in the Big Ten championship game, there is no doubt that one of their own left it all on the field.
The Nittany Lions’ Kobe King seemingly had a nervous reaction to the stakes of the game and was caught throwing up on the field in a viral moment.
It also could have been a combination of nerves for King, No. 41, being winded from the 10-play, 75-yard drive of just over four minutes long.
The redshirt junior linebacker let all his insides out during the first quarter as Penn State trailed 7-3 just before the Ducks made an offensive snap on first-and-goal.
After the snap on the Nittany Lions’ 2-yard line, quarterback Dillon Gabriel completed a pass to Kenyon Sadiq for a 2-yard touchdown to give the Ducks a 14-3 lead.
From the jump, Oregon didn’t let go of the lead and went on to win 45-37 and earn the No. 1 overall seed of the College Football Playoff.
King went on to play for the remainder of the game, recording 10 total tackles, including six solo and one tackle for loss.
Penn State has had a key defensive leader in King this season.
He has tallied 62 combined tackles, coming in at No. 2 on the team, along with three sacks to rank third on the team’s defensive unit.
The Nittany Lions had an 11-2 season and was awarded the No. 6 seed in the College Football Playoff bracket.
They have a first-round matchup against SMU, which received the final at-large spot over Alabama.
