The host of Tastemade’s “All Up In My Grill,” native Chicagoan Dale Talde has competed in three seasons of Bravo’s “Top Chef” and opened restaurants from South Florida to New York.
“I’m thrilled to bring a fresh dining concept to Florida that blends my love of Cantonese cuisine with the drama of a classic steakhouse,” Talde said. “We’re not just serving incredible cuts of meat; we’re creating a culinary journey that celebrates bold flavors and innovative cocktails. This concept is all about pushing boundaries and giving diners something they’ve never experienced before.”

When did The Perry Hotel Naples debut in Southwest Florida?
Interrupted briefly by hurricane season events, The Perry Hotel Naples with its 160 rooms opened in January after previously targeting a launch late last year, as In the Know has reported.
The lodge is the second for The Perry, a boutique hotel brand that launched in 2017 in Key West, where developer FOD Capital is based.
How much did The Perry Hotel Naples cost to construct in SWFL?
Besides its restaurant, the $80-million enterprise features ground level and rooftop pools, an activity lawn, a lobby coffee destination, a fitness center, among other attractions. Most of the rooms come with balconies.
Broward County-based Casa Conde & Associates, which has designed structures in Europe, the Middle East, Central America and east of the Mississippi River in the United States, handled the look that includes a two-story lobby.

What outdoor amenities does Perry Hotel Naples tout in Florida?
The property includes a boardwalk that meanders from the pool deck to a riverfront pier with an eight-slip marina and a dock from which water sports, fishing trips, and dolphin and sunset cruises can depart, according to Mike Raymond, FOD’s CEO.
A check Monday afternoon check found that a room for Thursday night could be reserved for $349 plus taxes and fees. Tweaking previous plans, the hotel says it will charge $150 total for one dog for stays of seven days or less, and $175 if longer. Other costs include a daily $45 resort charge for offerings such as in-room coffee, Wi-Fi, shuttles and the 24-hour fitness center.

What drew Perry Hotel developers to SWFL for new enterprise?
“The area has become increasingly desirable for travelers due to its proximity to nearby beaches, golf courses, world-class shopping and other areas for outdoor recreation,” said Matt Strunk, chief financial officer for FOD, which purchased the six acres adjacent to the Bay House restaurant in 2021 for $4.8 million.
Collier County and the South Florida Water Management District approved permits for the inn after initial questions about mangroves. Plans for the parcel have changed several times over the years including 2018 talk of a special events locale called Reverie Hall. As part of its own efforts, FOD secured a $52 million loan from Dallas-based Hall Structured Finance.
What do you think of the new Perry Hotel and its restaurant?
Some North Naples residents have raved about having another option that isn’t a difficult drive deeper into the city: “Close for those of us in North Naples, and the food is fantastic,” said new fan, Jen Lane. “What a fabulous rooftop experience for North Naples. We absolutely loved everything. We had way too much food and so much fun. Started our night off with the pot stickers.”
But with the newly constructed edifice protruding skyward, altering what largely had been a lower level sea of green around that part of the inland river, not everyone is as enthusiastic, as reader Bob Stommel told In the Know last week: “I’m not a whiner, but I just have to go on record to say that the Perry Hotel in North Naples is one of the ugliest looking buildings we have seen over the years.”
