The Dan Bernstein saga has come to an end, with Audacy’s 670 The Score canning the longtime Chicago radio host.

The radio station announced Bernstein’s termination during Friday’s midday show, with Mitch Rosen, vice president and brand manager of The Score, giving the update.

“We want to share some important news with our Score listeners, partners, and teammates,” Rosen said on-air, per Barrett Media. “We are announcing today that Dan Bernstein no longer works at The Score.

“We wish him nothing but the best, and thank him for his time and service. Thank you.”

Bernstein’s exit comes days after the radio host got into a fiery social media exchange, threatening to dox another X user.

The social media beef came after the user accused Bernstein of killing a fish that he caught and took a picture of himself with last week.

Bernstein then challenged the user to a fight, claiming to have the person’s address and phone number and threatening to make that information public.

“Where you at? I have your address and phone numbers. Want it all public? Do I worry you yet?” Bernstein posted before asking the user if they wanted their children involved.

Immediately following the social media incident, co-host Marshall Harris opened the show by saying that Bernstein would be off the air for the week.

Bernstein had been a member of The Score since 1995, becoming a mainstay in Chicago sports media during his tenure.

In addition to his most recent social media exchange, Bernstein also had a feud with Dave Portnoy in September after going off on Barstool Eddie for referring to him by his last name.

“You can call me Dan or you can call me Bernsy, but you don’t know me like that,” Bernstein snapped at Eddie.

Bernstein was also removed from the board of directors of Camp One Step, a Chicago-based program for children with cancer, earlier this week.
