The Rams are coming out of their bye week with a new toy on defense.
The team is acquiring fourth-year cornerback Roger McCreary from the Titans as part of a 2026 pick swap ahead of next Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, the Tennessee franchise announced Monday.
The Rams sent a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick to the Titans for McCreary’s services, with Los Angeles receiving a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick in return.
A second-round pick out of Auburn in 2022, the 25-year-old McCreary is in the final year of his rookie deal.
Through eight games this season, McCreary has 21 solo tackles, one sack and an interception, the third of his career.
Monday’s move between the Rams and Titans comes as both franchises are headed in completely opposite directions.
Los Angeles entered the Week 8 bye week on a high note after torching the Jaguars in London, 35-7, for its fifth win of the season.
Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford went off for five touchdowns, three of which were caught by star wideout Davante Adams.

The Rams are currently tied for first atop the NFC West at 5-2 with the Seahawks, who are also coming off a bye.
Meanwhile, the Titans fell to 1-7 on Sunday after being bulldozed 38-14 by the Colts, who improved to 7-1.
Cam Ward, the Titans’ first overall pick in this year’s draft, had one touchdown and an interception in the Week 8 beatdown, which saw his frustrations boil over after interim coach Mike McCoy elected to punt on a fourth-and-3 from the Colts’ 43-yard line early in the second half.
McCoy is now 0-2 since taking over the coaching duties from Brian Callahan, who was fired earlier this month after losing five of the season’s first six games — one of which was a 33-19 home loss to the Rams in Week 2.
The NFL trade deadline is next Tuesday at 4 p.m.
