As it approaches its first year anniversary, Franklin Street Social − Red Lion’s bustling food hall − is continuing to boom with new businesses introducing bold flavors and activities for all ages.
The owners of Franklin Street Social are bringing their newest concept, Hunnie’s Country Chicken, to the second floor of the Social, next to Wild Batch Bistro.
Inspired by leading chicken concepts that are taking the country by storm, including Wingstop, Dave’s Hot Chicken and Raising Cane’s, Hunnie’s will operate as a fast-casual chicken tender and wing spot.
Developed by Franklin Street Social partners Ethan Greer and Jordan Illyes, who opened Franchesca’s, a New-York style pizzeria in the food hall, Hunnie’s will feature hand-breaded tenders, over 10 dipping sauces, funnel cakes, fresh sweet tea and country fair lemonade. Greer said the brand aims to bring country lifestyle to the forefront, while offering affordable menu options.

Another new food stall is bringing coastal seafood classics.
Lighthouse 153, a product of Red Lion residents Jessica and Matthew Krumrine, will offer buttery lobster rolls, golden crab cakes, crispy beer-battered rockfish, steamed shrimp, bisques and more.
Rita’s Italian Ice is also coming to the Franklin Street Social − and it’s going to be open year round.
According to an announcement from the Franklin Street Social, Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard will join the food hall as one its newest stalls, taking over the former Noodle King space.
Greer said he anticipates Rita’s will open sometime this holiday season.

Two stalls close, two others join forces
Noodle King and the Mac Factory have closed their doors, while two other stalls are merging their concepts − steak and sweets − into a new venture set to open in Dallastown in late October.
Urban Steer, known for its steak dinners, teamed up with Sweet Tooth Waffles & Munchies, to open up Sweet Steer, Munchies & BBQ: a one-stop-shop for barbecue, burgers and desserts located at 64 East Main Street in Dallastown.
