ASHEVILLE – For Thanksgiving Day, select Asheville area restaurants will remain open, welcoming guests to spend time with their loved ones around the table without the stress of preparing the meal themselves.
Here are restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, as well as restaurants and catering services where you can place preorders for custom and prepared dishes to go. Plus, local farms and butcheries offering meats for home preparation.
Make reservations soon, before seats fill up. And place preorders before the deadlines.

Hickory Nut Gap Meats pasture-raised turkeys are available for preordering. The Fairview farm invites customers to purchase a turkey to be donated to those impacted by Tropical Storm Helene.

Chop Shop Butchery
Preorder Chop Shop Butchery’s meats at chopshopbutchery.com, with a deposit, and pick up between Nov. 22-26 at 100 Charlotte St. The Asheville butchery offers an assortment of choices, including D’Artagnan turkey (regular, smoked and bone-in turkey breast), Rohan duck, Verlassa salmon, smoked ham and oysters.

Blue Mountain Pizza
Blue Mountain Pizza will host its 20th annual free community Thanksgiving dinner from Noon-3 p.m. at 55 N. Main St. in Weaverville. All are welcome, whether alone, in need, or simply wishing to celebrate with friends. The menu will feature turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and desserts. Limited home deliveries are available by request by calling the restaurant at (828) 658-8778 between 9 a.m.-Noon on Nov. 10. Capella on 9
Capella on 9 will serve classic Thanksgiving fare and soulful Southern favorites, with seatings at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 27. Embassy Suites Asheville Downtown

The Horse Shoe Farm
The Horse Shoe Farm will host a Thanksgiving feast at The Silo Cookhouse, 155 Horse Shoe Farm Drive in Hendersonville. The family-style prix fixe traditional Thanksgiving meal, including roasted turkey, buttermilk mashed potatoes, chili-roasted squash and assorted seasonal pies. The communal dining experience will celebrate farm harvests and offer views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Black Bear BBQ’s holiday catering menu featured smoked meats, including smoked turkey, chicken, sausage, turkey breast, vegetarian barbecue, as well as a Chinese five-spice spiral ham. The sides, which serve six to eight diners, include a cranberry-chipotle goat cheese ball and smoked sausage and egg cornbread. Desserts include a berry cobbler and sweet potato pie. City Bakery
Preorder City Bakery’s Thanksgiving bread and pies by Nov. 22, with pickup on Nov. 26 at citybakery.net. The menu features rolls (cranberry sage, sourdough, potato rosemary, yeast), 10-inch pies (apple streusel, salted caramel, apple, cherry almond oat, pumpkin and pecan) and stuffing bread made with French sandwich bread loaded with herbs. Items will be sold, first-come, first-served, on 11/26 until supplies last.
Moose Café
Moose Café is accepting preorders for Thanksgiving holiday meals at eatatthemoosecafe.com. Pick-up times are between 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 26 and 8-11 a.m. Nov. 27 at 570 Brevard Road. The package meal, which serves four to six people, includes roast turkey, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, green beans and sweet potato soufflé for $99.99. Quart-sized sides are available à la carte for $14.99, and desserts are priced differently.
New Stock Pantry
Preorder from New Stock Pantry’s holiday catering menu, which features overstuffed stuffing made with torn and toasted Heater House Bakery wood-fired bread, Creasman Farm roasted apples, dried fruits, house sausage and fresh herbs, as well as other main and side dishes, salads, rolls and desserts. Red Fiddle Vittles
Red Fiddle Vittles, a catering service and market, is offering a take-home Thanksgiving dinner, featuring main and side dishes prepared with ingredients from local farmers and purveyors, including Hickory Nut Gap Farm, Looking Glass Creamery and Black Trumpet Farm. Meals are portioned for two to three people, with options for larger quantities or amendments for dietary restrictions. Menu highlights include roasted Joyce Farms turkey with gravy and fresh cranberry sauce, sorghum-glazed Hickory Nut Gap Farms ham with apricot chutney, and roasted quail with cornbread stuffing and cider glaze.
