Once again, there was no Commissioner, the real-deal kind — the kind with a capital C — to stand up, stand out and deliver on behalf of the good of their game.
Sunday in Chicago, in one of those crosstown rivalry interleague games that seem to bring out the lowest among dueling self-entitled fans, an obnoxious woman, close to Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong’s outfield position, captured his attention by hitting him with a crude put-down.
Crow-Armstrong, rather than ignore this childish and all-too-common shout, hit back with, “S–k my f—ing d–k, bitch!”
Charming, eh? It was caught on video and heard by all nearby, including kids and their families.
