FLORIDA Governor Ron DeSantis received a hostile ovation at a WWE event this weekend.
DeSantis, 46, was greeted with boos and harsh chants from wrestling fans.

He attended the WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event in Tampa, Florida.
And the Republican former presidential candidate didn’t exactly receive universal acclaim.
Fans serenaded him with chants of “you suck” as he made his way to the ring.
“Ron DeSantis with that heel heat,” one wrote on Twitter.
“Governor Ron DeSantis just showed up and the crowed started booing him and chanting ‘you suck.'”
The event took place at Tampa’s Yeungling Center on Saturday night.
DeSantis was seemingly taken aback by hearing the chants from fans but didn’t appear to react.
It’s unclear if the fan response had any deeper meaning to it.
Or it could’ve been just DeSantis playing the role of a heel for the WWE universe.
DeSantis spent Memorial Day with WWE icon Hulk Hogan.
The wrestling legend has a restaurant in Clearwater, Florida.
And he shared a photo with the Florida Governor from Hogan’s Hangout.
Hogan wrote, “Had an incredible start to Memorial Day weekend.
“Hanging with Governor Ron DeSantis, his amazing wife Casey, and their great kids.
“Always an honor to spend time with a true patriot who served this country.
“Much love to all the brave men and women who’ve sacrificed for our freedom.
“Let’s never forget what this weekend’s all about, brother.”
DeSantis was a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election.
He withdrew in January 2024 and endorsed Donald Trump.
DeSantis is the 46th Governor of Florida having taken up the position in January 2019.
