Feb. 25 (UPI) — A federal court filing on Monday confirmed that former attorney for President Donald Trump Rudy Giuliani has “fully satisfied” a $146 million judgment against him won by two Georgia election workers he accused of fraud.

A jury had awarded Ruby Freeman and daughter Wandrea “Shaye” Moss $148 million in 2023 after a four-day trial in 2023 before a judge slightly reduced the figure.

After that, Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and federal prosecutor, was found by U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman that he failed to comply with a court order and was found in contempt of court.

Giuliani’s false charges against Freeman and Moss after the 2020 presidential election left the women fearing for their lives as they were constantly hounded by Trump supporters, which included repeated death threats. They filed a defamation lawsuit against Giuliani to clear their name of the allegations.

Giuliani, who supported Trump in false election fraud allegations in 2020, and the women signed a settlement agreement in January. In the settlement, he was allowed to keep his condo in Florida, a penthouse in Manhattan, vintage Mercedes-Benz, World Series rings, and New York Yankees jersey signed by Joe DiMaggio.

He did have to surrender other prized sports memorabilia possessions, jewelry, and other valuables to pay off the settlement to the workers.

As part of the settlement, Giuliani agreed not to further make false statements against Freeman and Moss, but it also did not include an admission of guilt by him. He was disbarred in New York and Washington, D.C., because of his false allegations in 2020 to overturn the presidential elections.
