Tensions rise as the queens put their design skills to the test in a pageant of ocean-inspired couture in a new episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” airing on Friday, Feb. 7.

The new episode will air at 8 p.m. ET on MTV. Those without cable can watch the show for free through Philo, FuboTV or DirecTV Stream each offering a free trial to new users. Sling is another option for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.

The queens are competing for a $200,000 cash prize and the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar,” according to Paramount.

The 14 queens competing in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 17 are:

  • Jewels Sparkles — Community: Tampa, Florida
  • Joella — Community: Los Angeles, California
  • Kori King — Community: Boston, Massachusetts
  • Lana Ja’Rae — Community: New York, New York
  • Lexi Love — Community: Louisville, Kentucky
  • Lucky Starzzz — Community: Miami, Florida
  • Lydia B Kollins — Community: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Onya Nurve — Community: Cleveland, Ohio
  • Sam Star — Community: Leeds, Alabama
  • Suzie Toot — Community: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Guest judges for this season include Doechii, Paul W. Downs, Hunter Schafer, Quinta Brunson, Jamal Sims, Law Roach, Adam Lambert, Sam Smith, Jerrod Carmichael, and Tracee Ellis Ross, among others.

This year there is also a new twist called “The Badonka Dunk Tank,” in which after each week’s lip sync, the eliminated queen will have the chance to receive immunity and save herself from elimination, according to Paramount.

“Queens will choose from 10 levers and if they pick one of the two levers that dunks Michelle [Visage], they get to remain in the competition,” Paramount added. “If not, they will be eliminated.”
