WorldAtlas has released a list of 10 prettiest towns to visit in North Carolina – and several WNC locations are included once again.
WorldAtlas, founded in 1994 by cartographer John Moen and his wife Chris Woolwine-Moen, publishes educational materials and articles on geography, sociology, demography, environment, economics, politics and travel.
Commenting on the study, writers said that NC’s prettiest towns are “a delightful blend of historic communities, forested retreats, and tranquil fishing villages.” They also praised the state’s diverse cultural heritage and well-preserved historical architecture.
Here’s what is on the list, and why WorldAtlas believes they’re the best destinations in NC for scenic trips and overnight escapes.
