Seeking Sister Wife’s Garrick and Lorrana Merrifield appear to be kissing and making up after Garrick was arrested on a domestic violence charge in November.
In a January 1 Instagram post, Lorrana shared intimate pictures of Garrick, 42, getting down on one knee and seemingly proposing to her. (It’s not clear if the pictures are recent or throwback photos. Garrick and Lorrana legally wed in October 2024.)
“Moving forward with faith, gratitude, and hope for a new year of blessings. Happy 2026✨❤️,” the TLC reality star wrote alongside the photos.
The post comes less than two months after Garrick was arrested in Chaffee County, Colorado, on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence and obstructing telephone service back on November 24. He was subsequently released on bail.
TMZ reported at the time that Garrick allegedly threatened to call U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on his wife — who is from Brazil — and have her deported during an argument.
Lorrana told police officers that Garrick snatched her phone away from her amid a domestic dispute and would not allow her to contact her family in Brazil, TMZ reported, citing a police affidavit for an arrest warrant. (Garrick did not respond to multiple requests for comment from Us Weekly in November, nor has he publicly addressed his arrest.)
On Tuesday, January 6, the reality television star appeared in court at the Chaffee County Judicial Building for a status conference related to the case against him, Colorado newspaper The Mountain Mail reported. He was granted permission to take an out-of-state trip to California by Judge Diana Bull.
Another status conference is set for January 27 “for possible arraignment or sentencing,” per the Mountain Mail.

Garrick and first wife Dannielle Merrifield joined the cast of TLC’s Seeking Sister Wife during the show’s third season back in 2021. The show chronicled their efforts to expand their relationship into a “plural” marriage with another woman. Garrick and Dannielle — who share three children — divorced in 2020 to allow him to legally wed again, though they remain in a relationship.
Garrick and Lorrana wed in 2024 and welcomed their first child, daughter Sarah Mae, together in July. The family did not announce Sarah Mae’s arrival until November, however.
Garrick told People of coparenting with his two wives at the time, “Coparenting as a plural family has been wonderful, to have all the support and be there for each other. It’s a blessing to have all of our family involved helping each other. It’s definitely allowed us to do different things.”
During the November 30 season 6 finale of Seeking Sister Wife, viewers saw Garrick drop a bombshell on Dannielle and Lorrana by revealing that he wanted to take a third wife. He further shocked Dannielle when he said she would legally have to marry the woman if she was from another country due to Lorrana’s citizenship status.
“You know, if God had us to meet another woman from another country, truly our best option would be, Dannielle would have to marry to have her come here,” Garrick said in a confessional interview alongside his two wives. “Just because we don’t know how long it would take before me and Lorrana could get divorced where I could marry another woman.”
“I wasn’t aware of that,” Dannielle responded. “I feel like it’s more of a discussion I feel like we need to have.”
