Apple‘s Shrinking family is growing by two more as Sherry Cola (Nobody Wants This, Joy Ride) and Isabella Gomez (One Day at a Time, Head of the Class) join the comedy series in recurring roles.
Co-created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, Shrinking follows grieving therapist Jimmy (Segel), who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
In addition to Segel and Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley also star. As Deadline recently announced, Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe Award-winner Jeff Daniels will guest star as Jimmy’s father.
Shrinking is produced for Apple TV+ by Warner Bros Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals, and Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Annie Mebane, Rachna Fruchbom and Brian Gallivan were executive producers on Season 2. Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley serve as executive producers on Season 3.
Since its premiere, the series has received SAG Award nominations for Best Ensemble, as well as for performances by Jason Segel and Harrison Ford; a Critics Choice Award win for Best Supporting Actor Michael Urie; and nominations for Emmy Awards, and the WGA, among many others.
