The Knicks finally have their NBA Finals opponent.
After a hard-fought Western Conference finals, the Spurs punched their NBA Finals ticket with a decisive 111-103 Game 7 win over the Thunder.
French superstar big man Victor Wembanyama helped lead the way for San Antonio on Saturday, scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds while shooting 7-of-15 from the field.
Spurs forward Julian Champagnie’s six 3-pointers were also a large contribution down the stretch.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s game-leading 35 points were simply not enough for a depleted Oklahoma City roster — with Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell both sidelined with injury — who was hoping for their second straight finals championship.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals is set for Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. EDT at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
