Steph Curry continues to put himself in the greatness category.

During the Warriors’ 119-114 victory against the host Timberwolves on Wednesday night, Curry put himself into the same scoring category as LeBron James.

Curry tied James at 15 games for 40-point game performances past the age of 35 years old.

From the moment the game tipped off, Curry was on fire.

The 38-year-old had 23 points through the first half, and it continued into the second half, as Golden State had a 24-point lead, when he checked out at the 5:01 mark of the third quarter.

Curry also finished 16 of 16 at the free-throw line.

Besides scoring a lot, Curry also had eight rebounds and six assists.

Rookie forward Yaxel Lendeborg had his highest-scoring performance, finishing with 26 points, sinking 2 of 5 3-pointers and shooting 55% from the field.

Golden State went up against a Timberwolves team that was without Anthony Edwards, who will miss at least the next two months due to arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Luca Evans of The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Steve Kerr said the Warriors “smelled blood in the water.”

After starting the season 0-3, Golden State is starting to find its rhythm and has won two in a row.

The Warriors will take the court again on Friday, when they host the Lakers.
