The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul catapulted to reality TV superstardom after she was named ABC’s lead in season 22 of The Bachelorette, leaving fans curious about her life behind the cameras.
“And that’s a wrap,” Taylor, 31, wrote via Instagram on December 20, 2025, revealing she had finished filming her season of The Bachelorette, premiering in March 2026. “I never experienced anything like this.”
She continued, “Can’t wait to talk all about [The Bachelorette], share it, show it. Such a passion for what goes into something like this. Feeling so grateful to be part of the bachelor nation family and crew. I left the most ‘me’ picture [her flipping the middle finger] for last. This will be worth the wait, stay tuned coming in March.”
Before she joined Bachelor Nation in search of her forever love, Taylor was married to ex-husband Tate Paul and in a relationship with Dakota Mortensen. Keep scrolling to read more about her family, including her three kids.
Tate Paul
Taylor married Tate in 2017, a few years before the pair were embroiled in the so-called Mormon MomTok soft swinging scandal in 2022.
During an interview on “The Viall Files” in 2024, Taylor explained that the swinging became “weird.”
“I’m with this other man completely naked and we’re about to go full force and he’s with the wife and [Tate’s] super drunk and he comes to this realization, ‘We can’t do this. What if one of you gets pregnant? We don’t know who’s the dad. This is not OK,’” Taylor said. “My husband was like, ‘Maybe we should stop doing it with our friends. Maybe we can do this with strangers?’ You could kind of see people are creating feelings at this point. People are getting jealous and weird.”
The pair announced their divorce in June of the same year.
“I got on a TikTok live,” Taylor explained on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives at the time. “I, at least, wanted to explain that to people. My husband wanted to share. He did want to open that up. So it’s like, I caught feelings for a man that my husband welcomed into our house.”
Indy May Paul
Taylor and Tate welcomed their first child together, daughter Indy May, in August 2017.
“Indy May Paul officially arrived Aug 31st weighing 6lbs 9oz. She is perfection and we are so obsessed with our baby girl. 💗 we are so blessed,” she wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of her and Tate.
Ocean Paul
The pair’s son Ocean joined the family in June 2020.
Taylor announced the pregnancy on Instagram, where she wrote in December 2019, “Walking into second trimester✨(my fav trimester) baby Paul will be here June 2020! Also Thank you everyone for the kind words and support yesterday🙏🏼.”
Dakota Mortensen
Taylor first introduced her social media followers to Dakota in 2022, when she admitted he was the man she had a relationship with during the soft swinging scandal.
The pair’s romance has not always been smooth sailing. Taylor was arrested on domestic violence charges in 2023, though the charges were later dismissed. The pair also appeared on the first and second season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives while they navigated raising and coparenting their son, Ever, together. In 2025, Taylor revealed on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that the pair had called it quits.
“Did I love him? Absolutely. I had a baby with him,” she said. “I wanted to be with him, but it just did not work out.”
Ever True Mortensen
Dakota and Taylor’s son Ever was born in March 2024.
“Ever True was born March 19th, 6lbs 15oz a week early and we’ve had the best two weeks with him. We all love you so much, thank you for blending our family 🤍,” Taylor wrote via Instagram at the time.
