Anchor/Reporter
KMOV

Taylor Holt is thrilled to be a part of the St. Louis community, anchoring First Alert 4 This Morning Weekends, and also reporting for the morning newscast during the week. She joined the team in Fall 2021, as an Emmy-nominated, and award-winning journalist.

Taylor is a proud native of Chicago, Illinois, and that is where she realized she wanted to pursue a career in journalism, and tell the stories, she and her community were passionate about. She had the opportunity in high school to be a youth reporter for a media-based company in New York, exploring the issue of gun violence in Chicago, and sharing her experience being directly impacted by senseless violence. Finding solutions to the issue is one of many causes that is close to her.

Taylor graduated from DePaul University, and later, interned at WGN-TV, where she gained valuable insight working with on-air talent, as well as learning the behind the scenes of working at a television station. This and many years of experience helped to shape her into being a well-rounded journalist.

Before coming to KMOV, Taylor was the Weekend Anchor/Reporter in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she covered a wide variety of stories and events, including the Iowa Caucuses. Prior to that, she was an Anchor/Reporter in Duluth, Minnesota for four years.

In her career, she’s had the opportunity to host events, including the American Heart Association’s Annual Gala in Iowa, as well as doing motivational talks at schools.

In her off-time, she loves spending time with her Shorkie, Jupiter. When she’s not hanging out with her, she loves exploring the outdoors, taking in a play at a local theatre, breaking a sweat in the gym, or writing poetry. Taylor became a certified yoga instructor in the Fall of 2020, and loves teaching and taking yoga and dance cardio classes, as well. You can enjoy Taylor’s “Tranquil Time with Taylor” yoga segments every Sunday morning at 6 and 7 A.M. on First Alert 4, as well as our website, KMOV.com.

She is excited to continue her passion of telling stories, meeting new people and being able to give others a voice. You can connect with Taylor on Facebook or Twitter, or email her at [email protected].
