Taylor Swift celebrated the end of an era with a special party.
Swift, 35, wrapped her Eras Tour on December 8, one week before her birthday and it appears that her friends were keen to celebrate both milestones.
“My people,” Brittany Mahomes wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, December 18, sharing an array of photos from the soirée, which was themed after the record-breaking event.
In one snap, Mahomes, 29, posed with Swift, Lyndsay Bell and Ashley Avignone in Swiftie-inspired getups. Mahomes rocked a flapper dress reminiscent of Fearless while Bell chose a pink jacket like the one Swift wore for “Karma” on the road. Avignone, for her part, wore all-black with a fake snake draped over her shoulders to signify Reputation, while Swift went with a black dress that resembled the gown she wore to the 2023 MTV VMAs.
In a separate photo, Swift posed in between Mahomes and Bell. She’s gotten especially close to both women through the Kansas City Chiefs organization. Swift is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who is teammates with Brittany and Lyndsay’s respective husbands, Patrick Mahomes and Blake Bell.
Patrick, 29, attended the party with his pregnant wife, wearing a white tuxedo that looked similar to the same suit that Kelce, 35, wore on the Eras stage in June. (Kelce made a one-time Eras appearance during one of Swift’s concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium during her Tortured Poets Department set.)
Kelce also attended the bash, standing in the background of one of Brittany’s pics with Swift.
Swift began her Eras Tour, a three-hour concert celebrating most of her past and present albums, in March 2023. After crossing continents for nearly two years, Swift played her final show in Vancouver on December 8.
“I’ve never played more shows on tour or toured longer than I have with the Eras Tour,” Swift said during her December 6 show. “There are so many reasons for that, like, nobody’s backstage saying, ‘You gotta do more shows.’ I decided to make this tour the longest I’ve ever done because you have made this feel like so much more than a concert tour in so many ways.”
She continued, “I’ve been going on tour since I was 15 years old, and this has felt different in every single way. It’s felt like this escape to a planet where nothing but joy and passion and togetherness and camaraderie exists every night coming out to these crowds.”
The Grammy winner’s Eras Tour was also the catalyst of her relationship with Kelce, who attended one of her Kansas City gigs armed with a DIY friendship bracelet. Kelce was unable to gift Swift the beaded bauble, which he mentioned on a July 2023 episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
Swift later heard Kelce’s pleas, privately reached out and the rest is history. She made her first appearance at one of his Chiefs games in September 2023. At many of the football games, Swift sits in a private suite with Brittany and Lyndsay.
“They have a really genuine friendship and love hanging out at the games together and cheering on their men,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2024. “Brittany loves that Taylor is dating Travis, and she’s so supportive of their relationship. They have a very similar sense of humor and are always cracking jokes and laughing.”
