Taylor Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium to support her husband, tight end Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in a clash against the Jets on Sunday.
Swift watched the game in a suite with her mom, Andrea, and dad, Scott. She also appeared to be sitting next to Karlie Kloss.
Swift did not attend the Chiefs’ last two road games, when Kansas City lost a heartbreaker, 28-24, to their division rival Denver Broncos last week — and a 20-3 loss to the defending champion Seahawks on Oct. 25.
The 14-time Grammy winner has been to every Chiefs home game at Arrowhead Stadium so far this season — including Kansas City’s 22-6 win over the Chargers in Week 6, where the CBS broadcast showed her and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark watching the game in a suite.
Denver stunned Kansas City with a dramatic comeback victory that came down to the final play to take first place in the AFC West.
Mahomes completed a pass to wide receiver Rashee Rice over the middle for what would have been a game-winning touchdown — but the play didn’t count due to a false start penalty on Chiefs right tackle Jaylon Moore.
With four seconds left in regulation, Mahomes was sacked by Broncos defensive tackle Malcolm for a 6-yard loss on the final play.
During Wednesday’s installment of the “New Heights” podcast, Kelce and his brother retired Eagles center Jason Kelce discussed the penalty.
“At the end of the day, we still had another play,” Travis said. “I’ll take my guys and [Chiefs quarterback] Pat Mahomes on the six-yard line with the game on the line; I’ll take that any day of the week. So we gotta execute at the end even more. We can’t let the penalty absolutely deflate us and not let us execute at the end of the game.”
Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, took to social media to air her frustration at the refs over the false start call.
“You can’t tell me you call that on the game winning TD, oh wait yeah I can cause it’s us,” she wrote on a black screen, along with a smiling face emoji. “That was the weakest call I have ever seen, you can’t tell me otherwise.”
The Chiefs are 3-0 at home on the season thus far.
It’s been a whirlwind year for Swift and Kelce, who were married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City in front of 1000 guests.
Actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony and the star-studded guest list included his teammates, such as the Mahomes’, as well as Brad Pitt, Paul McCartney, and Stevie Nicks.
