Thanksgiving is almost here, but there is still time to get some food deals ahead of Thursday.
The price tag on Thanksgiving can be lofty in general, and an analysis of 2025 turkey prices from Purdue University found that this year’s prices have surged 75% since October 2024, reaching $1.71 per pound by October 2025.
Prices dipped substantially from 2023-2024. However, Purdue noted that they are seeing the continued impacts of highly pathogenic avian influenza on U.S. poultry flocks.
And with many grocery prices on the rise, many Americans are considering where to find the cheapest ingredients for the occasion.
