Matt Campbell’s Cyclones suffered a similar rough go at it in their title game against No. 12 Arizona State. On Dec. 7, Rocco Becht and co. lost 45-19, sealing their fate and confirming, they would not be taking part in the College Football Playoff.

But for me, my believe has always been our alignment to a vision of attitude, effort, character, young people aligned to a vision of how do we do an incredible job of developing those people within our football program. We’ve never wavered from that.”
