The best — and worst — of the first weekend of Women’s March Madness

All the No. 1 seeds advanced to the Sweet 16, with UConn — the top overall seed — earning its spot in the second weekend of March Madness for the 32nd consecutive year.

The same, though, can’t be said about the No. 2 seeds after Virginia pulled off the surprising upset over Iowa in double overtime.

Virginia, a No. 10 seed that got into the tournament by the skin of its teeth, has emerged as a Cinderella darling.
