MILWAUKEE — As Brewers owner Mark Attanasio succinctly put it, his baseball guys are doing a “pretty damn good” job.
How damn good?
The team from MLB’s smallest market (No. 41 officially) with bottom-rung revenue looks start to finish like baseball’s best team. They won the most games, 103, in by far the better league, and now they’re 8-1 this postseason following their 3-2 victory over the Rays in Game 1 of the World Series.
The big question is: How did the club that had the third-longest gap between World Series appearances — 44 years, behind the two Chicago teams — get here?
