There may be nothing left to save when Mets’ cavalry finally arrives

The last act of the desperate team is believing the cavalry will arrive to save its season.

The Mets already have performed the first act, reaching to the best of their minor leagues.

The good vibes of youth lasted roughly a week.

In the coming days, they are expecting A.J. Minter and Jared Young from the IL and — if all works well — they will get Francisco Alvarez and Jorge Polanco back in mid-June and, they hope, Francisco Lindor at some point soon after.
