Perhaps the scariest part of top-seeded UConn is the feeling of inevitability, like the results are written in the stars.
March is when the best teams get tested and pushed to their limits. Some crumble under the pressure of the stage, which gets more monstrous every step of the way. Others rise to the occasion, and UConn has proven time and again that it falls in the latter category.
The question isn’t whether the Huskies, winners of 54 straight games, will complete a perfect season and capture their record 13th national championship next weekend in Phoenix, but rather, is there any team that can realistically take down UConn this season?
Can any of the remaining three teams — UCLA, Texas or South Carolina, the other three No. 1 seeds joining UConn at the Final Four — spoil that?
