Brylee Thompson of Hershey was selected as Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2026 on Wednesday, capturing the coveted cowgirl hat during a break in the Buffalo Bill Rodeo.

A graduate of Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Thompson will serve as ambassador and representative of pro rodeo in the Cornhusker state in 2026 and compete in the Miss Rodeo America pageant in December 2026.

Thompson 21, achieved a degree in business with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and a certificate in leadership. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and was selected as business student of the month.

Brylee’s goals are to work in the agriculture industry and continue to grow her own business, and to be a positive role model to those around her, encouraging everyone to lead with light.

The 2025 Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska was crowned on Tuesday in a ceremony at Venue 304. Dakota Glasshoff of Murdock won the title.

This fall, Murdock, 18, will be a senior at Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools.

She is involved in 4-H, FFA and Student Council, and she barrel races and rodeos.
