Tom Brady knew in real time how worrisome Jayden Daniels’ elbow injury was.
Hours after Bears signal-caller Caleb Williams left the game against the Vikings early with a non-contact hamstring injury, Daniels suffered a painful-looking arm injury while attempting to break his own fall against the Cowboys on Sunday.
Daniels appeared to injure the same left elbow he dislocated last season, which led to him missing a healthy chunk of 2025 and recording only seven starts.
Daniels, the No. 2 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft — one slot after Williams — dropped back as the Commanders were in the Cowboys’ red zone and immediately fell awkwardly, prompting Brady to curse on the live Fox broadcast.
“Oh s–t,” Brady exclaimed, as did many others, in all likelihood, while watching Daniels.
Brady apologized and later added that he “was not expecting to see” that.

Daniels was subsequently carted off with a towel over his head, and Commander fans — who have unfortunately been here before with the dynamic dual-threat QB — will await updates as Marcus Mariota entered the contest to start the second half with his team trailing.
Daniels had an excellent rookie campaign in 2024 but was limited in 2025 due to injuries.
He finished Sunday with 96 passing yards on 11-of-17 passes and a touchdown.
He also rushed for 69 yards on seven carries.
