The Television Academy revealed on Friday that past winners Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale will announce the nominations in the major categories for the 76th Emmy Awards on Wednesday July 17 at 8 a.m. PDT/11:30 a.m. EDT, streamed live from the historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Emmys.com/nominations. They’ll be joined by academy chair Chris Abrego, who said, “While this year has been marked by significant challenges for our industry and its workforce, there have has been an abundance of remarkable programs, extraordinary performances and impactful storytelling. Great television relies on the contributions of many, and we are delighted to have Tony and Sheryl help us acknowledge excellence across our field as we embark on a season of tremendous celebration.”

Hale is a three-time Emmy winner, with two of those coming for supporting actor in a comedy for his role on the HBO political satire “Veep” in 2013 and 2015. He’s also the voice of fear in the Disney/Pixar sequel hit “Inside Out 2.” Ralph won an Emmy for supporting comedy actress in 2022 for her work in ABC’s “Abbott Elementary.” She also won a Critics Choice Award in 2023.
