CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The race for United States president is expected to be a close one in North Carolina in 2024.
Leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5, recent polls have shown Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump were within just points of each other in the state. North Carolina, a battleground state, is an important win for either candidate — and will offer 16 electoral votes to the winner.
A presidential candidate requires at least 270 electoral votes to win the election.
