No matter how much Travis Kelce cheers for the Guardians, he can’t escape his past Yankees fandom.

The Chiefs tight end and Ohio native is being called out for past support of the Bronx Bombers as he publicly stans for the Guardians in the American League Championship Series.

Kelce, along with girlfriend Taylor Swift, was at Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of ALCS last week, but the Chiefs star was in all black — not wearing anything to show his support for the Guardians.

After Game 3 of the ALCS on Thursday, Kelce took to X to defend his Cleveland sports fandom.

“I’ve been a Cleveland sports fan my entire life… Make it back to countless amount of games over the years both Guards and Cavs just to enjoy these memories with my friends and family, WIN OR LOSE!!… and I don’t wear Cleveland gear one time and all of a sudden I’m not,” he wrote on X. “Ask anybody that was in or around that suite on game 1 who I was cheering for, they’ll let you know I was there for the (Guardians).”

But social media keeps receipts.

The X account for the “Talkin’ Yankees” podcast, among others, called Kelce out with a screenshot of a now-deleted post in October 2010 when the Bombers fell to the Texas Rangers in the ALCS.

Kelce, who was born in Westlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, and attended Cleveland Heights High School.

The barrage from Yankees fans started after Kelce celebrated David Fry’s 10th-inning walk-off homer on Thursday, which cut New York’s series lead to 2-1.

“Playoff baseball baby!!! @CleGuardians have the city absolutely ROCKIN TONIGHT!! What a game!” he posted on X along with three fire emojis.

In the replies fan pushed for Kelce to don a Guardians and hat and asked him if he had actually been rooting for the Yankees

The Yankees took Game 4 on Friday night and have a shot at advancing to the World Series with a win on Saturday.
