An updated poll shows that President Donald Trump’s approval rating in Ohio is down 10 months into his second term.

New polling information from Civiqs shows that Trump has a disapproval rating in Ohio of 51% while 44% of respondents approve of the job he’s doing and 6% neither approve nor disapprove.

The polling data is from more than 70,000 respondents nationwide from Jan. 20 to Dec. 2.

A poll conducted by Bowling Green State University in March showed Trump’s approval rating in Ohio at 50% while 44% disapproved.

The latest ratings differ from the 2024 presidential election results in Ohio, with Trump winning the state with 55.2% of the vote while Democrat contender Kamala Harris garnered 44% of the vote.

The approval rating is the lowest it’s been all year following a prolonged government shutdown in October.

The majority of those who disapprove of the job Trump is doing range between the ages of 18 and 49. Those 50 and older approve of what Trump is doing.

Men support Trump more in Ohio than women do.

Those who are college graduates give Trump a 56% disapproval rating, while 68% of people in Ohio with postgraduate education give disapprove of Trump. Non-college graduates give Trump a 48 to 46 approval to disapproval rating.

In a Gallup poll conducted from Nov. 3-25, 36% approved of Trump’s job performance, down from 41% in October. That approaches Trump’s lowest-ever approval rating of 34% in 2021, near the end of his first term after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to Gallup. Trump’s previous low approval rating during his second term, Gallup says, was 37% in July.

Trump’s approval rating fell among Republicans and independents, as well as Democrats. The Republicans’ approval rating of 84% is the lowest of Trump’s second term, down from 91%. With independents, Trump’s approval rating fell to 25%, down from 33% in October. Democrats gave Trump an approval rating of 3%, down from 6% the previous month.

The New York Times poll aggregator showed Trump’s approval rating has fallen to a low of 41% during his second term, down from 52% in January.
