President Trump announced Monday all countries who purchase oil or gas from Venezuela will be subject to a 25% tariff on all trade with the US, in an ambitious bid to isolate the far-left South American regime.

“Any Country that purchases Oil and/or Gas from Venezuela will be forced to pay a Tariff of 25% to the United States on any Trade they do with our Country,” Trump raged on Truth Social in a lengthy post.

The tariffs will go into effect on April 2, the day Trump is set to announce a wide range of reciprocal global tariffs.

The administration has been on the offensive against Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, that has caused havoc across the US and whose members have killed several Americans, including 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley.

The gang has been labeled a Foreign Terrorist Organization, and the FBI has specifically targeted those contributing “dirty money” to Venezuela’s regime, The Post reported earlier this month.

Trump is opposed to Nicolas Maduro’s repressive regime, but the White House has been in talks with the regime to get flights full of Venezuelan criminals back to the South American country.

Deportation flights carrying suspected TdA members landed in Caracas Monday morning, with transporters grinning as they touched down.

The US will be putting a “Secondary Tariff on the Country of Venezuela, for numerous reasons, including the fact that Venezuela has purposefully and deceitfully sent to the United States, undercover, tens of thousands of high level, and other, criminals, many of whom are murderers and people of a very violent nature,” Trump continued on Truth Social.

“Among the gangs they sent to the United States, is Tren de Aragua, which has been given the designation of ‘Foreign Terrorist Organization.’ We are in the process of returning them to Venezuela — It is a big task!”

Trump also noted the Maduro regime has been “very hostile” to the US and “the freedoms which we espouse.”
