An upstate New York rollercoaster was named among the best in the nation in the 2025 USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Earlier this month, USA TODAY revealed the best new theme park attractions to experience in 2025. Here’s which ones made the list.
Which NY attraction made the list?
Six Flags Great Escape’s wooden rollercoaster The Bobcat was introduced at the Queensbury theme park in 2024 and earned the No. 6 spot on USA TODAY’s 10Best list for best new theme park attractions to experience in 2025.
It’s the first wooden coaster to debut in New York state since 1999 and the first ride of its kind in Six Flags history, USA TODAY reported.
The Bobcat is Six Flags Great Escape’s first new roller coaster since 2003.
“Though it’s made of wood, in classic coaster style, this family-friendly ride isn’t for the faint of heart — it reaches speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour and soars 55 feet in the air,” USA TODAY says.
