Jimenez y Friends in Lubbock made USA TODAY’s list of best restaurants in the country.
The USA TODAY Restaurants of the Year 2025 list, released today, features 44 restaurants from fine-dining establishments to long-loved barbecue spots.
“That’s wild to see, being one of the top in the nation,” said Michael Flores, one of the family members running the restaurant. “These past few years, it’s just been a blur. We didn’t expect any of this. This is amazing.”
USA TODAY Network food journalists from across the country pooled their expertise to select the list, which includes the places they know, love and recommend.
Jimenez y Friends was chosen for its top-tier weekend barbecue, generations-old family recipes and award-winning tacos.
