USS Gerald R. Ford enters Mediterranean Sea as Iran tensions rise

The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford entered the Mediterranean Sea Friday morning as speculation grows about a potential US attack on Iran.

Ship trackers spotted the American vessel as it passed through the Strait of Gilbraltar, though it is still several days from getting into position to target the Islamic Republic.

The Ford will join the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Middle East after President Trump suggested Thursday he could make a decision on whether to strike Iran within the next 10 days.
