New videos showing Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert dancing alongside musician Kid Rock have gone viral on social media.

On X, formerly Twitter, user Alex Cole share a video of the two where they appeared to be speaking at President Donald Trump’s inaugural ball ceremony following his victory in the 2024 presidential election.

In the video, which has garnered more than 40,000 views on X, Boebert can be seen dancing as she stands next to and speaks with Kid Rock, whose given name is Robert James Ritchie.

Why It Matters

The video’s circulation on social media comes shortly after unconfirmed reports that the Boebert and Kid Rock, who is a Trump supporter, were seen leaving Trump’s inauguration party together on January 20 at about 2:30 a.m. local time. Page Six reported this week that the two were seen entering a taxi together. Newsweek is unable to independently verify these reports.

Newsweek reached out to Boebert’s press office via email for comment.

What To Know

Boebert filed for divorce from her husband, Jayson Boebert, in May 2023 and it was finalized in October.

In September 2023, she and a date were kicked out of a performance of Beetlejuice after guests complained they were vaping, singing, using phones and causing a disturbance. Boebert initially denied any wrongdoing but later apologized after security footage seemingly showed her vaping and the pair fondling each other.

In 2024, Jayson Boebert was charged over an argument with the Republican congresswoman at a restaurant in Silt, Colorado, on January 6, as well as in connection with a physical fight with their 18-year son that occurred days later.

Lauren Boebert obtained a temporary restraining order in 2024. In her request, she made several allegations against him, including name-calling, making harassing phone calls and “abusing children in the household.”

Last February, Jayson Boebert responded to the report in an interview with Westword, a Denver, Colorado-based news magazine. He alleged that he was never served with the order and only learned of it when an Associated Press reporter contacted him for a statement. He described the order as “cruel and unfair.”

What People Are Saying

In a post on X, user @LongTimeHistory, shared the video of Boebert and Kid Rock and wrote: “Lauren Boebert spotted getting cozy in a cab with Kid Rock at 2:30 a.m. after Trump party. It’s no secret they have much in common. Both are close friends with Trump, enthusiastic gun-toters, and have interesting public dating habits.”
