Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman’s girlfriend, Taylor Saunders, said she was heckled by Lions fans during Sunday’s season finale at Ford Field in Detroit.
Saunders shared a TikTok video explaining that she was shocked over the behavior of some fans after the Lions beat the Vikings, 31-9, to win to their second straight NFC North title.
“Travel 10/10 ladies 10/10 Detroit fans 0/10,” Saunders captioned a TikTok video on Tuesday, which showed some of the Vikings WAGs boarding a private jet to Detroit.
Saunders took to the comments section to discuss it further.
“Wishing injuries on the opposing teams players ain’t the vibe babe,” she replied to someone who defended Lions faithful.
“I would HOPE no one else would ever have to experience that!?!!!! What’s a girl got to do to support her man at a football game without getting heckled?” Saunders added.
In response to one person who said Lions fans were shouting “Vikings suck” during a moment of silence to honor veterans, Saunders said she heard that too.
“The way my jaw dropped,” she wrote.
Saunders didn’t explain further details.
Before that, the Vikings WAGs were toasting champagne and dancing on a private plane en route to the game.
She isn’t the only NFL significant other to share a negative experience at a road game.
Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has been open about setting boundaries for taking their four daughters to away games due to heckling from opposing fans.
Kelly previously criticized fans who booed her and the couple’s children at a playoff game against the Lions in Detroit in January 2024.
The Lions (15-2) will have a week off before hosting a Divisional Round game.
The Vikings (14-3) face the NFC West champion Rams (10-7) in Los Angeles on Monday night in the wild-card round.
