CLEVELAND, Ohio – Chefs who want to appear on Food Network’s “Chopped” are asked to apply online.

The show is looking for skilled, creative and competitive professional chefs. Producers request basic personal information along with how you learned to cook plus accomplishments and specialties along with photos of yourself and several of your dishes.

Applicants can go to jscasting.com to apply.

The show gives contestants free reign in a well-equipped kitchen. Chefs are given ingredients to creatively use, prepare and incorporate into their dishes. Last year, Jill Vedaa of Salt+ in Lakewood appeared on the show, which is hosted by Ted Allen.

“Chopped” first aired in 2009 and has spun off several shows.
