Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai led the Big Ten in rushing last season. But you never would have guessed that if the only Rutgers game you saw was against Wisconsin.
The Badgers held Monangai to just 16 yards on eight carries in a 24-13 victory over the Scarlet Knights last season.

Monangai is second in the league in rushing through five games this season and Rutgers has won four of the games. So he probably wants a little payback against the Badgers when they meet Saturday.
Meanwhile, UW quarterback Braedyn Locke is looking to bulid on last week’s 52-6 thrashing of Purdue. It’s an important road test for the 3-2 Badgers.

MARK STEWART: UW has a chance to score a good win on the road and they have the tools to make it happen. The offensive line is playing well, the running game is coming off its best performance of the season and the defense has shown it can contain the Scarlet Knights’ ground game. This is a great opportunity the Badgers won’t let slip away. Wisconsin 24, Rutgers 20.
JR RADCLIFFE: Kyle Monangai, Rutgers’ talented running back who enters the week second in Big Ten rushing, was a non-factor last year when the two teams played, but I have a hard time envisioning lightning striking twice for UW’s defense. Wisconsin did absolutely everything it could against Purdue last week to demonstrate progress and shake the caveat of “it’s only Purdue,” and yet, I’m still stuck there. On the road against a decent foe in a sneaky crucial game for the team’s hopes of an above-.500 record, I’m still not quite a believer. Rutgers 28, Wisconsin 20.
