It happened.
The Giants won a game, for the first time since early October. And, they looked quite good in all three phases. Their offense, directed with poise and patience by rookie Jaxson Dart, had no trouble moving up and down the field and into the end zone. Their defense harassed Geno Smith and intercepted him twice. Their special teams scored points on two field goals and one dynamic return.
It was all more than enough to secure a 34-10 victory over the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. These teams came into the game with matching 2-13 records but these were not the same teams. The Giants’ point differential in their first 15 games was minus-99. The Raiders’ was minus-169. This result validated the assumption that as bad as the Giants have been this season, the Raiders were worse.
