The nation will say goodbye to former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday.
Carter’s remains will be taken to the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., after lying in state at the Capitol this week. Following the service, Carter’s remains will be taken to Plains, Georgia for a private funeral service and interment Thursday evening.
President Joe Biden declared Thursday a national day of mourning after Carter’s death at 100 years old on De. 29. The declaration causes all offices of the federal government to be closed.
The funeral service will be broadcast across both network and cable television and USA TODAY will stream it live.

The funeral service for former President Carter will be carried on the four major networks: CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox.
The funeral will also be broadcast on CNN, MSNBC, CSPAN and Fox News.
Spanish broadcasts will be available on Telemundo and Univision.
