Chef Mike Sibert is a well-known culinary expert throughout the Upstate and beyond. Just last year, he was a 2024 South Carolina Chef Ambassador and appeared on an episode of Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
The food scene star will soon reopen his locally recognized White Wine & Butter restaurant brand on Thursday, February 20, at 2299 E. Gap Creek Road in Greer. The grand celebration will include a chance to win a gift card at the newly renovated Greer Golf facility, marking a new chapter in Chef Sibert’s dining expertise.
After closing in October 2023, Sibert’s new restaurant plans to open with a menu based around freshly made pasta, a tableside prepared food experience, prime rib meal, tapas-style dishes, and a lamb and grits recipe similar to what he made during his appearance on “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
Grand festivities at the Greer Golf facility begin on Thursday, February 20, at 1 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and ticketed cocktail reception.
Guests who dine out at the new White Wine & Butter location on February 20 will receive 10 percent off their total check, and those who dine anytime that weekend will be entered into a gift card drawing to be announced the following Tuesday.
Sibert’s original White Wine & Butter restaurant opened at Greer’s Cartwright Food Hall in 2022. It featured a Cajun-Italian casual-style dining concept, a nod to the training he received from New Orleans chefs after graduating from Cornell University and the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas.
The new White Wine & Butter restaurant will have dining hours from Wednesday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m., and will also open for a Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
