Who is Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend?

Valerie Bertinelli has been open about finding love after her divorce from Tom Vitale, but she prefers to keep his identity private — at least for now.

In an interview with USA Today, she revealed that she had not been planning on entering a new relationship and initially resolved to remain single.

“He was not on my radar. I was going to die with my six cats and my dog and be incredibly happy doing it. So this came out of left field, and I’m grateful it did. He’s very special,” she said.

The former Food Network star also told the outlet that her new relationship is a far cry from her previous experiences.

More on Valerie Bertinelli

“It’s unlike any relationship that I’ve ever experienced with a man,” she added. “I don’t want to say too much, but I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have met him, because I wasn’t expecting it!”

While she had refused to share more details, she disclosed that her new boyfriend works as a writer on the East Coast and that they had connected on Instagram a few years back.

Based on his Instagram posts, however, it looks like her boyfriend goes by the name Hoarse Whisperer online.

“It was strictly platonic but there was something about him that I connected with that felt familiar,” she told People.

It wasn’t until this year that they became closer, when they started talking on the phone.

“It’s crazy the comfort level. It feels incredibly right,” she added.

Born on April 23, 1960, in Wilmington, Delaware, Valerie Bertinelli is an American host, entrepreneur, actress, and author.

She first rose to prominence in the 1970s, when she starred as Barbara Cooper Royer in One Day at a Time, for which she clinched two Golden Globe awards.

She proceeded to star in shows like Sydney, Café Americain, Touched by an Angel, and Hot in Cleveland, the latter of which earned her a nomination at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Bertinelli proceeded to transition into hosting, having helmed a number of shows on the Food Network, including Valerie’s Home Cooking and Kids Baking Championship.

What did Valerie Bertinelli say about the Food Network after her exit?

Valerie Bertinelli parted ways with the Food Network after over a decade, with the star chalking it up to the network doing budget cuts.

“I wanted to sleep on it because it really hurt my feelings, and I know it’s not supposed to. Logically, I know that it’s business, budget cuts, right? But it really hurt my feelings to know that I’m not going to be asked back to be on ‘Kids Baking Championship,’” she revealed in an Instagram video. “Really sucks.”

She also told a fan that Food Network had focused less on actual cooking to prioritize competition shows.

“I fell in love with Food Network two decades ago because of all the amazing ITK (in the kitchen) shows. 30 minute meals, Ina (Garten), Giada (De Laurentiis)…the list goes on,” she wrote in a post on Threads.

“I learned so much. It’s sad it’s not about cooking and learning any longer. Oh well, that’s just business, folks.”
